REI = Universal, Higher Power, Wisdom, God, or Source.
Ki = Life Force Energy, Chi, or Prana.
Reiki is a Japanese healing art that promotes stress reduction and overall wellbeing. Reiki supports the body’s natural ability to heal itself, as it connects the mind, body, and spirit to promote healing.
“Chi”, “Ki”, or “Prana” flows in and around all living things; this energy is the essence of who we are and is what gives us our vitality. Everyday stress and trauma can cause problems with the flow of this energy, creating blockages causing us to feel anxious, mentally exhausted or depressed, irritable, or just not like our normal self.
Over time if left unchecked, symptoms can worsen and lead to more serious health issues. Reiki is used to restore balance to energy deficiencies as it promotes healing. Reiki can induce a deep meditative state, relieving pain, tension, and discomfort. This form of healing can also aid in tissue and bone regeneration after surgery or an injury.
Reiki can help to regulate your body’s immune system, making it the perfect compliment to traditional medical treatments. Because Reiki treats the total person; mind, body, emotions, and spirit it has quickly become a trusted resource in hundreds of hospitals throughout the U.S.
During a session a Reiki Master or Practitioner will act as a conduit, or bridge to draw positive healing energy from “Source” while sending healing energy through the palms of their hands to the recipient. Masters or Practitioners will often use their hands to “sense” energetic imbalances as they hover over and channel healing energy into areas of the body that need treatment. In some cases, Masters or Practitioners will physically lay hands on the treatment areas based on the recipients wishes.
It should be noted, Reiki does not take the place of traditional medical treatment prescribed by a doctor. Reiki DOES however, work effectively in conjunction with ANY traditional medical treatment(s).
Reiki will never do any harm and is not affiliated with any religion nor does this divine healing energy discriminate. Reiki is available for everyone’s benefit and is indeed an intelligent, pure, and perfect energy coming by way of Source.
